what's the truth

what's important in life? what makes you happy? what makes you satisfied?

for me, one, it's finding truth. God, that means. finding God and knowing what's the truth behind our existence.

Two, having a family that loves me. i admit my family is not too good, but it's ok.

Three, Friends. friends who love me and appreciate me for who i am and not what i have.

Four, doing stuff that gives me satisfaction. one of which is making people happy, people laugh, and organizing outings. also, the upcoming Law Camp.

Wealth, beauty, and a great education would be great, but these do not neccessarily make a person happy. if only people who have these are happy, only 0.0000001% of humans would be happy. it also means that my mum, your mum, and most singaporeans dont deserve to be happy. after all, who looks like allan wu, fiona xie, or who is as smart as LEE Kuan Yew, or rich as Ong Beng Seng? are only these people happy?

on the contrary, the coffeeshop man and the average poly student look quite happy to me.

i realised i'm as happy as i want to be. looks, beauty, and status are really not everything.
