Glory to God
went for the benny ho talk yesterday at church, organized by the YAM. wesley church's new Young Adult Ministry. gary was commenting that it seemed a little SDUish. Because there were many young adults. anyway my cell is one of those 'involved' in the startup of this ministry. personally, i think it's a good idea and i hope it can serve the young adult's needs. as for my own contribution, i am unsure. play drums maybe. like i did last night and i am doing tonight.
the benny ho talk was really good and i am excited to go for the 2nd session tonight. it's on Discerning God's will. 1 very important thing is that if you already walk closely with God and are constantly listening, following and obeying, USUALLY, you will not need to try too hard to 'find' or 'discern' HIS will.
cos if you know HIM well enough, you will naturally know what HIS will is in difficult situations. for example, choices between right and right. like a job, your lifetime partner, or something like that. something that does not involve moral choices.
anyway, i will talk more on this another time.
another interesting matter is that some of my small group members are trying to matchmake me with a good friend of theirs. i am grateful for their worrying for me, that i will never find someone to live life with me. my cellmates are really hilarious. and i appreciate it. so there, thanks girls, for your effort. this is a public THANKEW.
for my friends who dont know, my small group is one OnBendedKnees, formed in 1999 by a batch of 17 year olds then who wanted to meet outside of church. we grew, we split into 2, we merged, and now we have many different faces and people who come from different walks of life, but all who want to know GOD and seek christian support as well as good in-depth BS(bible study, but sometimes we like to bullshit as well). for some of my friends who didnt know, this is the group i hang out with every friday night till1 or 2 am and it is one of my life priorities. i love them.
a few of us are in uni now, a few in army(but all getting out soon), a few working adults. and we are a crazy lot. i guess most people think christian small groups must be rather solemn and serious or something like that. well, if you know me, do i look or seem solemn? haha. actually my cell is something like a madhouse. and got all kinda animals in there too. including myself(yes manu calls me the beast). i think i shall post more on the cell another time, and i will add fotos!! WOOHOO!!!
to round up, i went for the talk last night not exactly looking forward to it. in fact, i thought i was going to be bored and all that. i did not even really want to play for the worship in the first place. but it felt like an obligation and something just pushed me to it. even at the rehearsal on monday night, i was a bit sian and tired. but last night, GOD breathed into the worship and the worship really spoKe to me and helped me rekindle my fire. everything was perfect last night. i can't thank God enough for bringing me close and speaking out to me and assuring me He's there. just when i am dwindling in the faith. make no mistake. GOD led me here and He wants me to follow Him. and i want to. Faith is so exciting. thanks to the Mighty God whom i serve. thanks. Seriously.

Awww... that's so sweet of you giving us a public thank you mention.. haha.. now you are officially the cell group's most eligible bachelor! haha
